Preparation for Hari Raya.

Assalammualaikum...
Hey! today I'm going to story about preparation for Hari Raya.. =)  As you know, Hari Raya Puasa or Eid-ul Fitr... :)

Hari Raya Aidilfitri the moment that all Muslims wait.. Muslims in Brunei,Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore celebrate Eid like other Muslims throughout the world. It's a very important occasion. It is also known as the festival that marks the end of one month of fasting. The word 'Hari Raya' mean day of celebration. I can't wait to celebrate Hari Raya because I can meet my family, relatives and my friends.

Hari Raya Aidilfitri just around the corner. My preparation for Hari Raya is not same like my previous preparations because this year I want to focused my final examination after this raya. So, I just make a simple preparation. Now, I have to buy just my one clothes Baju Kurung.. so sad.. :( But I thankful because this year I still can celebrated Hari Raya with my family. It enough make me happy.. :)

Usually, day before Hari Raya, my house displays oil lamps will reach it height on the 27th night of Ramadhan,  called Tujuh Likur night. "Likur" literally meaning a figure between 20 and 30, hence,"tujuh likur" means twenty seven. Well, preparation for Hari Raya Puasa start at least a month ahead, during the fasting period of Ramadhan. My family especially my mother start to sew beautiful curtains and buy a new clothes for the family. Besides that, my father and my brother start do renovation for the house so that, my house would look better when the guests visits it during the festivals. I usually will paint the house with my siblings, but this year we can't make it, because between of us have busy with their work and no time to make it like the previous raya. Other than that, my mother also make some biscuits for hari raya like rempeyek, almond london, sampan biscuits,cornflakes biscuits and so on..

Lastly, I can't wait to back my home to celebrated Hari Raya with my family, I always miss my mother cooks for hari raya because I can expect to taste a wide variety of delicious spicy dishes. Some dishes that can be my favourite is ketupat,lemang, kuah kacang,kuah lodeh and so on.. :)
